Perfect for young skin which is prone to breakouts, Dermalogica Clearstart Clearing Defense SPF30 provides a pleasing matte finish.

This carefully evolved moisturiser counters excess sebum via patented TT technology featuring pine oil, tapioca starch and thyme. The natural ingredients can reduce sebum production by up to 70% and address surface sebum to minimise oily shine. A barrier is also created to protect skin from environmental aggressors but without clogging pores. Up to 80% of particulate pollutants are blocked while a blend of antioxidants including willow bark extract, green tea extract and vitamin C neutralise free radicals. This moisturiser also prevents oil-based make-up penetrating the skin and yet boosts hydration for a healthy-looking complexion.

It may seem counter-intuitive to use a moisturiser if you suffer from excess sebum, but dehydration can promote sebum production in compensation for the lack of moisture. Using plant extracts which attract moisture, Clearstart Clearing defense keeps skin hydrated and so contributes to the prevention of annoying breakouts.
