Andrew advises “skin is your body’s largest and fastest growing organ, it requires careful attention so t’s important we look after ourselves both inside and out”.

Here are some of Andrew’s skin care top tips:

First Up – Don’t overdo it
Tempting as THAT primer may be, or THAT softener, or THE moisturiser, keeping it simple is really a key to radiant skin. In fact, I would go as far as to suggest that one night a week, cleanse your skin, and go to bed. Sometimes, even skin needs a rest. Use Skin Doctors pH Balancing Cleanser which cleanses, and very mildly exfoliates skin. Plus is doesn’t dry out either, as avocado oil conditions.

Start a regime early
Despite advances in skincare, it takes at least 2-4 weeks for any regime to start making a difference. As we start the new year, what better time to make changes to your skincare routine!

Prime your skin
Skin Doctors Instant Facelift is a great make-up primer wonder! Seriously, this product is really good. If you want a matte, smooth, non-silicone type finish before make-up application, then this is THE make-up primer to go for.

Pre-Cleanse!
What? I hear you say. Yes, pre-cleansing is a beneficial additional step. Usually oil based, these products remove sebum, make-up, dirt etc. They act so that your regular cleanser actually works better. If you want to skip the extra step, double cleanse your skin instead.

Give skin a break at night
So… boosters, serums, concentrates, then moisturisers with additional actives ARE good for skin, but one night a week, get to bed (earlier) with bare skin. Yes, besides eye cream, cleanse skin, and that is it. Just like our bodies need a break from carbs, or fats, or whatever you are breaking from, so too does skin benefit from a real, literal breath of ‘fresh’ air.

Exfoliate
You knew this was coming. Exfoliation is the engine of skin renewal. Performed 1-2 times a week helps to keep skin soft, dewy and radiant. Skin Doctors Exfoliating Crystals are gentle, wont scratch skin, but hefty enough to give a good rub-down.
You could opt for a chemical exfoliaton, which offers longer term and additional benefits for skin. Look at Radianace and Renew once or twice a week. Speaking of Radiance and Renew….

Detox!
We recommend Skin Doctors Radiance & Renew to be used as a 12 week course of treatment. This multi-hydroxy formula smooths, refines pores, adds radiance, minimises lines and is quite simply, a multi-task wonder. Hint – ease into regular use, as it is packed with actives.
