Beauty In The Kitchen: Honey
We’ve talked about how true beauty starts in the kitchen plenty of times on this blog. It’s not only eating well that can do your skin the world of good. You can also use products that you’d use to sweeten your food for example (aka honey) for your skin.
Think about Cleopatra…supposedly she swore by her honey and milk baths and if it worked for Cleopatra then you can bet it’ll work for you. The best thing about honey is that it is packed full of anti-oxidants and has natural hydrating properties. By using honey you can seal in the moisture to your skin leaving you with juicy, plumped up skin and a clear complexion.
So here are just a few beauty products you can make at home using honey…

Add some honey to your bath. Add a cup of honey to your bath and have a good old soak. This will leave your skin feeling soft and supple.
Dry Skin Be Gone. Mix together 1tsp of honey, an egg took, 1tsp of yogurt and a few drops of almond oil. Apply the mixture to your face and leave for around 20 minutes, simply wash off and pat dry.
Body wash: A cup of honey and 3 tablespoons of rose water makes a great body wash. Massage in well and rinse off.
A bath for your baby? Honey is great for baby skin as it’s natural with no harsh elements. Make the best bath for your baby (or you for that matter) by mixing 2tbsp of honey with 4 tbsp of milk powder.
